The short version

VibeMart is a playful shopping simulation. We never collect payment details, most of your activity stays on your own device, we do not sell your personal data, and brands only ever see aggregate, anonymized signal. That is the whole idea.

1. Who we are

VibeMart ("VibeMart", "we", "us") operates a fictional, parody shopping experience. Products are imaginary, currency is fictional, and no money is ever charged. This policy explains what limited data we handle and why.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information: if you choose to sign up, we collect the email or mobile number you use, handled by our authentication provider. Signing up is optional for most of the experience.
  • Social sign-in: if you use Google or Facebook to sign in, we receive basic profile information (such as name and email) that you approve at the consent screen. We do not receive your password.
  • On-device data: your coins, cart, wishlist, saved addresses, streaks and preferences are stored locally in your browser (localStorage). This stays on your device and is not transmitted to us unless a feature explicitly syncs it.
  • Usage information: basic, aggregate interaction data used to run features like leaderboards, daily rewards and demand signal.
  • Approximate locale: we detect your currency and language client-side to localize the display. This is cosmetic and stays on your device.

3. What we never collect

  • Payment details. We do not collect card numbers, UPI IDs, bank details or any real financial information. There is nothing to pay for.
  • Any real delivery is never arranged, so addresses you optionally add are stored only on your device for the simulated checkout and never dispatched anywhere.

4. How we use information

  • To run the experience: sign-in, saving your progress, rewards, leaderboards and personalization.
  • To keep it working and safe: preventing abuse, debugging, and improving features.
  • To produce aggregate demand signal for brands (see section 6), which never identifies you.

5. Cookies and local storage

We use browser local storage to remember your session and progress on your device. We use only the cookies necessary to keep you signed in and to run core functionality. We do not use invasive cross-site advertising trackers.

6. Sharing and disclosure

  • Service providers: we use trusted infrastructure providers (for example, for authentication and hosting) that process data on our behalf under contract.
  • Brands and the Demand Lab: brands only ever receive aggregate, anonymized signal (for example, overall interest, price preference and sentiment). We never share individual-level data or your identity.
  • Outbound links: coupons and 'real product' links may lead to third-party websites. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and any real transaction happens there, not on VibeMart. Some outbound links may be affiliate links.
  • Legal: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and users.
  • We do not sell your personal data.

7. Data retention

On-device data remains until you clear it in your browser. Account data is retained while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account data at any time (see section 8).

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Our handling is aligned with the EU GDPR and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act. Because most data lives on your device, you can also simply clear your browser storage. 9. Children

VibeMart is not directed at children. If you are under the age of digital consent in your country, please do not create an account. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will remove it.

10. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited data we handle. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but because we hold so little (and never payment data), the risk surface is intentionally small.

11. International transfers

Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "last updated" date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice.
